Cupcake Party Checklist
Hosting a party with a lot of cupcakes is not that hard to do, as long as you have a bit of a plan and all of the necessary tools. In this post I want to provide a checklist of all of the stuff that you need to get the job done, no matter the size. This can be put to use for events small or large, the quantity just has to be scaled up or down to suit your needs.
Cupcake Party Checklist
- Assuming that you’re going to do the baking you need the proper tools. This includes the cupcake pan
, the liners
, and the icing spatulas
.
- Moving cupcakes around in the car is an incredible pain in the butt! I’ve been trying to do this with flat boxes for years, until recently, when I realized that companies make cupcake carriers
! I can’t believe that I went through so many years of stress!
- The cupcake stand is an obvious choice, and what this entire site is about.
- If you are planning on having the guests decorate their own cupcakes you will need some cheap icing, sprinkles, candy, and whatever else you want to add. Keep in mind that this makes a huge mess, with or without kids, so table cloths are a must if you plan on doing it inside.
- Other essential cleanup supplies are needed like napkins and paper towels, but I also like to have disposable disinfectant wipes for messy fingers and tables. With kids, the icing is going to end up in a few places that you probably don’t want it to!
Throwing a cupcake party is one of the most enjoyable ways to celebrate a special day. It doesn’t matter if it’s a wedding, a birthday, or just a Saturday afternoon, these are the key elements that you have to make sure that you have for everything to go smoothly. The best thing is that the most expensive things out of them (carrier, pans, stands) can be reused indefinitely, so you only have to get them once!
